Ifa revealed for us the Holy Odu - EJIOGBE. What a way to kick off the year. With Otura Meji highlighting that we are in Ire!
With so many changes that have taken place, it feels us with joy to see the Father of all the Odu, EjiOgbe, appear before us. Then to follow that up with another Meji to affirm the Ire. Beautiful energy for the first Itadogun of 2025.
I had all ebo materials on hand so I presented the ebo immediately after divination. I included everyone that contributes to the ebo. Donations are being accepted in increments of $16 for anyone that wants to be included in the community blessing.
Sister Temple Odu Ogbe Oyeku
Oluwo Baba Suruu Ifaneye (Formerly Baba Teju) cast the Itadogun for the Egbe (Community) for which we are a part of. The Odu I cast will be the more prevalent energy, however this one will also be present for us as well. There is significant overlap in the messages.
Ifa revealed the Holy Odu Ogbe Oyeku - The Father of all of the Omo Odu. These are on the Odu Ifa Combinations outside of the meji. This is a significant message until itself that we received two of the most senior Odu as the Odu walking with us at this time.
Couple that with this being the first Itadogun of 2025, right after the New Moon. Very significant.
Oyeku Ogbe is bringing in the Ire of victory over adversity.
Trust in the judgement of your adult children
Appease the Ori of your mother and (if known already) her Orisha as well
Speak your prayers - Out Loud
Stand firm on your boundaries and respect the boundaries of others
Your blessing has already been done
Your protection has already been done
Now is not the time to fight against the current
Not every unfortunate incident is what it seems
Speaks on appeasing our Mother's Ori

Before you divine for anyone else, you need to put that same energy in yourself
Heeding the wisdom of the Awo for which you receive your divination
Not only give the ebo but follow all the advisories
Itans
Verse 1:Aami was a beloved and cherished woman in her community. She was known as honest, straightforward and gentle. She was so loved because she had been instrumental in the success of many. She did all of these good things with humility. In spite of her goodness towards others, however, she did not have a child of her own. As a result, she cried daily. She would pray Olodumaré and the other Orisa for a child to love and cherish.
Eventually, she did give birth to a son. The child became the center of the entire community. Because they all have wished and prayed along with Aami, The boy was seen as the child of everyone in the community and so they named him Oranyan, meaning "My problem has been resolved". One day, Oranyan fell sick. His mother cried and sorrow and she went to consult Ifá to know how her son would survive. She asked "what do I need to do to protect him?" The Awos assured her that her son would be well. They said it was her own Ori that would revive him. They told Aami that the Orisa had seen the way she had been performing in her home, her environment, and in the community at large and they were impressed with her. They knew that her son was her joy and for that reason they assured her that he would survive. She was asked to feed Obatala. She was also asked to feed her Ori regularly. She complied and soon after her son was revived.
Later, she had sent Oranyan to fetch wood in the forest. On the way, he played and fell down. Having sprained his ankle. At that exact moment, a big tree fell close to his head. Had he not fallen, he surely would have been struck by the tree and killed. Later, Oranyan was swimming in the river.
When the the currents suddenly became stronger and faster. The boy was washed away and was completely helpless. But somehow, he was pushed into the roots of a boaboab tree that had grown next to the river. His clothing became entangled in the roots and the tree prevented him from being swept down the river. Oranyan had once again escaped death because of the protection of his mother's Ori and the divinities. There were several occasions where the boy was close to death but he would escape miraculously. It was the Ori of his mother that continuously saved him.
Verse 2:The Awos cast Ifá divination for Algotun, father of Oro Ojo, who kept late nights.
Algotun consulted the Awos over his son who kept late nights and refused to change his ways. He wanted to know how his son could become more responsible. The priest told him that the boy was merely living according to his destiny.
He was told to offer Ebo on the boy's behalf in order to preserve his life because his prosperity lied in his late night movements. The child was also destined to be the one to make his father prosperous. Algotun Heard the sacrifice and he complied.
Soon after, the boy went as usual and was running late one night. He saw thieves who were sharing their loot. He confidently challenged them and they all fled. The boy then went to where they were and picked up the money they had left behind. Then he too fled. When the thieves returned to see what it was that made them flee, They saw neither person nor their money. They decided to forego the money since it was not theirs to begin with, and they were not certain whether it was a person who challenged them or a spirit.
Oro Ojo woke his father when he returned home. He gave the money to his father who was surprised. He first thought the boy had stolen the money but Oro Ojo explained how he came about it.
Algotun use the money to build a house and start a business. He became wealthy and he was happy. It was exactly as the priests had said. He was dancing and praising the Babalawos while the Babalawos were praised lfá and Ifá praised God.

EjiOgbe- Ire
The main Ire that comes with EjiOgbe is leadership and honor. I confirmed that the Ire is a blessing of promotion, new job, or some form of elevation.
Doing the right thing at the right time with the right people
moderation in all things
Positive and Negative both exist, ebo protects from the negative
All things are possible
Hope. faith, gratitude, consistency, work and humility bring success
No moving, changing jobs at this time
Be mindful of arrogance
Resist the need for attention
avoid having a defeatist attitude
Change of attitude necessary - self deceit at play if suffering
Be mindful of jealous people
Blessings are given by Oludmare
Itan 1 - Mother Earth consulted Ifa to know how she could have nothing above her. Ifa advised her to give ebo. She found that things were already right and proper, so she felt she did not need to give the ebo. Eventually a mat was placed atop the Earth.
The mat wanted success and was told to give an ebo. The same thing occurs. The mat has success and feels like there is no need to give the ebo.
Eventually a throne is placed atop the mat. The throne is the symbol or Royalty and wanted to always be seen as such. The throne is advised to give ebo, but does not. And thus the King sat upon the throne and became the symbol of royalty. The King consults Ifa to know how he can retain this honor. He is told to give ebo, but he also refuses.
The Crown goes atop the King's Ori and now the Crown is the symbol or Royalty. The Crown asks how no one can supercede the Ori of the Crown.
One day a fly comes to sit on the crown. The Fly consults Ifa to know how no one can be above its Ori. Ifa advises the fly to give the ebo, and he does. Since that day, no one can fly higher than a fly.

Itan 2 - The Mother of Agbonniregun consults Ifa to know how she can be blessed. Ifa advises her to give ebo to the Ikin of her child. It is her child's Ikin that will bring her good fortune. She gives the ebo and experiences all forms of good fortune.
What do you hear this Itan saying to you?
Itan - The fortunate man was leaving Heaven going to Earth. It was well known that the deity, Orisa-nla, at the the gate from Heaven to Earth only approves one form of Ire when you leave. The fortunate man wanted spouse, long life, children, and wealth. He consults Ifa. Ifa advises him to give an ebo of 4 pigeons and money. He complies. He is then told to take 4 bean cakes and Seke wine to Obatala when he arrives. The fortunate man gets to the gate with the item. At the same time, Obatala is realizing he is hungry. When the fortunate man arrives Obatala asks him what he is there for. The fortunate man says he brought Orisa-nla some food. Being hungry, Obatala gladly accepted. While eating the second morsel, the fortunate man says that he is leaving Heaven for Earth and wants the Ire of spouse, wealth, children, and long life. Orisa-nla, amid chewing, gives his Ok and it is ratified. The fortunate man leaves with all his blessings.
