Itadogun April 12, 2025| Ofun Otuurupon

Greetings Everyone!

We are honored to have gathered in Fellowship to venerate the Orisha and receive the Wisdom of Ifa on Tuesday.

Ifa spoke to Temple Otuurupon Gunda through the Holy Odu Ofun Otuurupon. We are STILL not engaging in anything that tries to take us out of our peace. With the fans out, we are minding our business and staying calm and cool.

Ofun Otuurupon came to us in Ire. The confirming divinatio took longer than my liking. I took this as we barely scooted in that Ire. We need to be sure we ae walking in our good character.

Before I go into the direct messages for us. Our Oluwo cast Itadogun for Irentegbe Temple. This message actually aligns to us as well. I love how the messages go together.

Ogbe Irosun - Irentegbe Temple

Greetings to you all on this day of Ifá worship. Today, Ifá was cast for our community and we saw the manifestation of the holy odú Irete-Otura. This odu gives us the symbol of the crossed swords and warns about the presence of enemies.

The Awos divined for Orunmila when he was going to be fenced in.

Orunmila had consulted Ifá so that enemies would not have power over him. He was advised to offer ebo for victory and lfa would would rescue him from an enemy who had laid a trap. Orunmila made the sacrifice and it was buried at the altar of his Ori.

Olofin then sent for Orunmila for Divination. Orunmila went. Orunmila when arrived, he went to the seat that had been prepared for him and fell into a deep pit. Olofin commanded that he be buried alive and his attendants did so. As sand was being poured in, Orunmila saw a whole wide enough to accommodate a man in prostrate form. He followed the hole until he came out at the altar of his Ori at his home.

The people asked Olofin why he had done this Orunmila. Olofin replied that though Orunmila was neither a king nor Chief, he was always festive and the visitors that went to his house were more than those that came to the Palace. The King said Orunmila should continue his festivities in heaven.

As he was saying this, Amosun, Orunmila's son came in. He said Orunmila sent message to the king that the king had done his worst and should therefore expect retaliation. The king asked Amosun where he had seen Orunmila. He said Orunmila was home and the assistants had merely filled an empty hole.

All were amazed. Olofin quickly gathered appeasements in abundance and sent them to Orunmila to beg for forgiveness. Amosun brought everything home. Orunmila forgave them. He danced and rejoiced. He was praising his Awos and the Awos were praising Ifá and Ifá praised God.

Cast divination for Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì, the wine brewer

The one who was going to buy Àróòjo as a servant. She was advised to offer ebo. She refused as Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì was the wife of the King. She decided to get herself a female servant that would help her fetch water. Meanwhile, Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì had been barren. She had grown into an old woman having never given child. Her servant, Àróòjo, however, had grown into a beautiful young woman. Before long, she became pregnant with the child of the King.

The king could sense the animosity from his wife. He called to her. Please, I beg you, do not be annoyed. I am going to give to you a share of my estate. You have always been my wife and my only Olórí. And you are the one that brought me the girl as a servant. It is from that same servant that I may be able to have a prince. I am appeasing you in the name of God."

"That is fine" Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì replied. "I agree"

Inwardly, she was not pacified. She was secretly seating with anger but she put a smile on her face and life continued.

On a particular day, the King traveled out of the city. This happened to be the same day that Àróòjo delivered her baby. Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì was the one who took the delivery. She immediately realized it was a male child. She covered him a Calabash telling the mother that it was a stillborn. She then left for the outskirts with the Calabash in hand. When she got deep into the forest, she quickly and frantically shoved the Calabash into a hole inside a mole Hill. She was hoping that scorpions and ants would sting him to death. She was witnessed hiding the Calabash by the palm fruit Harvester who went straight for the mole Hill as soon as she left. When he discovered the baby, he immediately carried it to the king. He arrived just as they were telling the king that the child had died. Because Kings don't see dead bodies with their bare faces, he could not ask them to show him the corpse of the child. Stealthily, The Harvester went to meet the king. He told him what he saw in the forest and the King told him to keep it secret in a whisper. They went together to hide the child with a near nearby Nanny. The king took Àróòjo to identify the baby and begin nursing him. For 3 years, she would go to breastfeed her child and no one suspected her. In the third year, the king called all in an assembly and he called his wife, Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì. "Do you know this child?" He asked. His wife said she did not recognize him. The king then asked the boy to go and meet his mother. He went straight to Àróòjo, the mother who had been breastfeeding him.

"You, Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì, this is the child you told me died the last time." The house previously bequeathed Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì, They then gave it to Àróòjo. The servant then became the king's wife. Àróòjo then started to dance and rejoice. She was praising her Babalawos while her Babalawos were praising Ifá. The Awos chanted Ifá thusly;

"The evil of not offering sacrifices

The problem of not giving the prescribed ẹbo to Ifá.

Can you all see the house of Ilẹ̀ gìrìgìrì

Now becoming the house of Àróòjo."

Obatala's wife Yewa received divination that she would be blessed with children. Obatala said that her children would be students of Orunmila. The whole world will pay homage to her children. She is told to give an offering so that Orunmila will be happy to teach them.

You can't eat everywhere you go.

Aridegbe is a trader and needs goods to sell for the low. He knows of a place where he can get goods for cheap but no one goes there and returns home. He consults Ifa to know if he can go and come back safely. Ifa says yes and to give guinea fowl. A portion was blessed ad given to him to carry with him to this town.

Aridegbe gets to the town and successful buys his products. There is an after market social with food and drinks. Food is passed around and it looks sus, so Aridegbe opts to eat the guinea fowl he carried with him. Next thing you know, people look sick, Aridegbe tells his handlers to take all his stuff home. Aridegbe rents a canoe and is successfully able to return home.
